Charges may be filed this week against a driver who fled from police and crashed early Saturday morning. It began about 2:30 Saturday morning when a WMU Police officer tried to stop a car for a traffic violation and it fled, eluding the officer.
It was spotted by a Public Safety Officer speeding down Balch St. The driver ran out of road at Burdick St. and crashed into a concrete post. The occupants, 3 young women and a young man of college age, had to be pried out of the wreck. They were all taken to Bronson Hospital and should recover. No word if alcohol was involved.
