(Lansing, MI) -- The Department of Health and Human Services reports Michigan has been awarded nearly 35-million-dollars to help hospitals and physicians move to electronic record keeping, which is expected to create hundreds of jobs. The Michigan Department of Public Health was awarded 15-million-dollars, with Ann Arbor-based nonprofit health care research and consulting organization, Altarum Institute, receiving more than 19-million-dollars. The federal government also announced Macomb County Community College will receive five-million-dollars to train unemployed and dislocated workers for the defense industry.
