KALAMAZOO -- The death of County Commissioner Grady Biby from a rare form of cancer has left a vacancy on the board. They have until May 5th to decide how to fill it. With less than a year to go before the end of Biby’s term, they could appoint someone to fill the seat until voters can elect a candidate this fall, or they could call a special election. It will be an agenda item at the County Board’s next meeting a week from tomorrow.
