PAW PAW -- A 51 year old is being treated for burns over most of his body after what police say may have been a meth-lab explosion at his apartment in the 300 block of Elm St. in Paw Paw. The unidentified man was admitted in critical condition the Bronson Burn unit in Kalamazoo.

Police just happened to be at Bronson Lakeview when the man, bleeding and badly burned, walked into emergency early yesterday. He claimed he opened a bag in his yard and it exploded, but they found no such bag in his yard. They checked out his apartment and found chemical residue and a blood trail. They are investigating.
