COMSTOCK (WKZO) -- Three men carrying pistols forced their way into a young couple's apartment at Comstock Village Apartments, pistol whipped the male and began to ransack the place looking for valuables.
The men are described only as young black males.
It happened at about 10:30 Wednesday evening. While they were busy, the female occupant of the apartment slipped out, went to the neighbors and called police.
The robbers realized what was happening and fled before deputies arrived.
K-9 units lost the scent.
