KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Elcid Primm has waived preliminary exam and will go directly to trial in Kalamazoo. He is charged with the armed robbery of two Western Michigan University students near the roundabout on the west side of campus earlier this month.

The 19-year-old former WMU student from Flint was spotted in a security video at Rood Hall, with what appeared to be the victim's purse in his hands.

The picture was released to the media and a flood of tips came in, leading to his arrest.
