The Minnesota Vikings, who will play at Detroit Sunday to finish off the season, pulled off the upset last night, winning 24-to-14 at Philadelphia. It was the first Tuesday night NFL game since 1946, a contest postponed two days because of the snowstorm that blanketed the city along with the rest of the East Coast.
The Vikings improved to 6-and-9 while the Eagles, now 10-and-5, are locked in as the No. 3 seed in the NFC playoffs. The loss by Philadelphia handed the Bears a first round bye.
Meanwhile, Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and receiver Calvin Johnson have been named starters on the NFC Pro Bowl squad. Detroit also had three players named as alternates: return specialist Stefan Logan; special teams player John Wendling; and safety Louis Delmas.
