VAN BUREN CO. -- Four Van Buren County residents suspected of meth use will be spending the holiday in the county jail unless they can make bail. State Troopers noticed a car ahead that kept veering over the centerline. When they hit the lights, the driver refused to pull over. That's because they say he was pouring the contents of a methlab out onto the floor of the car, hoping it wouldn't be noticed. It was, and the 24-year-old was busted.
A curious man on a bike pedaled by and inquired about the suspect. A quick background check produced a warrant for that man on meth charges. That led to the arrest of two more at a home on Paw Paw road, also wanted on outstanding meth counts.
