(Lansing, MI)  --  Detroit's Democratic Mayor will play a big part in the inauguration of the state's newly elected Republican Governor. Dave Bing will serve as the emcee at Rick Snyder's ceremony on New Year's Day. The Ann Arbor venture capitalist reached out to the basketball Hall-of-Famer as a sign of bipartisanship. Grand Rapids Mayor George Hartwell, who is a minister, will give the invocation. The inauguration ceremony happens on January 1^st and is open to the public.
