Ben Gordon scored 24 of his 25 points in the second half and overtime to lead Detroit over New Orleans, 111-108 last night at the Palace. Tayshaun Prince nearly had a triple double for the Pistons, collecting 28 points, 12 boards and eight assists.
It was just the third win in the last 12 games for Detroit, which played without Richard Hamilton, who had an upset stomach, and also Rodney Stuckey, who is nursing a toe injury. In addition, Tracy McGrady, who started for only the second time this season, missed the second half with a sore groin while forward Austin Daye sat out with a strained hamstring.
Tonight, the Pistons play at Indiana, who last night lost at Boston as the Celtics ran their winning streak to 13 games.
