Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, to no real surprise, was the big winner during last night’s annual awards ceremony at Disney World, where there were no honors for Michigan State or Michigan. Newton won the Maxwell Award as the nation's top all-around player, the Walter Camp Award as the player of the year and the Davey O'Brien Award as the nation's top quarterback.
The night was likely a prelude to Saturday, when the Heisman Trophy winner will be announced in New York City. Newton is a finalist along with Oregon running back LaMichael James, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck and Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore.
