FLINT -- The suspect in five murders and eleven other stabbings in the Flint area waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning.  Elias Abuelazam is currently charged with one count of assault with intent to murder.  He did not appear in court and his attorney requested more time to go over evidence in the case.

Abuelazam was arrested earlier this month in Atlanta before boarding a plane to Israel and was extradited to Genesee County last Thursday.  Prosecutors say that more charges will likely be filed in next month.  Abuelazam is scheduled to be back in court September 21st.
