UNDATED (WKZO) -- Gasoline prices are up about two-cents a gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $2.71. Triple-A Michigan said today the cheapest price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Benton Harbor, Flint and Grand Rapids areas, where it's $2.67 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Ann Arbor area at $2.76.
AAA’s Nancy Cain says that’s about where it’s been all summer…It’s about 15-cents higher than this time last year. In Kalamazoo the average is about $2:67 according to Gas Buddy.com.
Nationally, the average price for a gallon of gas is down 7-cents over the past two weeks. Analyst Trilby Lundberg says prices could go down even further as the end of summer approaches. The national average is $2.70 a gallon.
