UNDATED -- The Attorneys General in 16 states including Michigan have written letters to Craigslist, asking that they drop their Adult Services Section. The CEO and founder of the online classifieds promised in 2008 to crack down on illegal sexual activity on the site, but Kansas A.G. Steve Six says they have not kept that promise. They can’t legally force them to do it but they can use moral persuasion. Six says the problem is the ads generate a lot of revenue for the website.
