Some of music's greats have lent their support to Eric Clapton's first solo album in five years. RollingStone.com reports that the guitarist's "Clapton," due in the U.S. next month, features a diverse roster of guests. Clapton's frequent co-headliner on tour and Blind Faith band mate Steve Winwood is on the project. Also featured on "Clapton" are pop star Sheryl Crow, jazz man Wynton Marsalis, R&B legend Allen Toussaint, and blues veteran JJ Cale. Doyle Bramhall the Second co-produced the 14-track project, which Clapton describes as, quote, "an eclectic collection of songs that weren't really on the map." The first single from "Clapton" will be "Run Back To Your Side." The entire album -- Clapton's first since 2005's "Back Home" -- is due on September 28th.
