Michigan Coach Rich Rodriguez decided this year to employ a new motivational tool for his team, that of keeping or taking away the vaunted maize wing from a player’s helmet during training camp, based on the consistency of their performance.
After practice on Thursday, Rodriquez said that second year quarterback Tate Forcier was among the players who yesterday was again wearing a winged helmet.
The Wolverines tomorrow will hold workouts and scrimmage for the first time on the new field surface put down this spring at Michigan Stadium.
