LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan's state budget situation should be a little less bleak now that about 700-million-dollars in additional federal aid is headed our way. The President signed a bill Tuesday that will send about 318-million-dollars for Michigan schools.
Michigan will see about 380-million for Medicaid. Even with the extra money, Michigan still faces budget problems. The governor and state lawmakers built preliminary budget plans on the expectation Michigan would get more than 500-million in extended Medicaid benefits.
