PORTAGE -- A Portage Clinic will offer free screening today for some childhood maladies that even an attentive parent might overlook.  Dr. Thomas Akland says they will be doing routine checks on each child, checking them for common issues, like lead, obesity and scoliosis.

The free pediatric screening event will be from 10am to 2pm at the Borgess Woodbridge South Clinic on Angling Road.
