KALAMAZOO -- There are officers on horseback patrolling the Edison Neighborhood so you may want to watch where you step this weekend. The Department of Public Safety has made cleaning up blight and foot patrols part of their community policing approach to law enforcement.
The county’s mounted patrol will work the neighborhood Friday and Saturday nights, while the weather is nice. They will focus on community interaction and preventing quality of life crimes such as excessive noise and fights.
