DEARBORN (WKZO AM/FM) — There have been times when Michigan motorists have found themselves paying well above the national average for gasoline when there are pipeline or refinery issues.
We have also paid much lower than the national average when there aren’t any kinks in distribution system and station owners are competing for your business.
As the new work week begins we are paying right around the national average.
AAA reports the average price of gas according to their survey of Michigan service stations is $2.34/gallon.
Trilby Lundberg says her national poll shows the average is just a penny higher. But she is anticipating a reduction in prices over the next week or two because of dropping crude oil prices.
The state price has dropped 7 cents in the last week, the nation price is up two cents over the last two weeks and they met in the middle.
