Red Wings Tied The Series 2-2

Jimmy Howard made 29 saves to record his first career playoff shutout as the Red Wings last night blanked the Coyotes 3-0 at Joe Louis Arena to even up their first round Western Conference playoff series at two games apiece.

Todd Bertuzzi put Detroit on the board with a second period goal while Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg added goals in third period. Phoenix was without captain Shane Doan, who suffered an upper-body injury in their Game Three win on Sunday. Game Five is Friday night in Phoenix.

In other Western Conference Playoff action last night, the Nashville Predators beat Chicago 4-to-1 to go up 2-games-to-1 while in overtime, San Jose beat Colorado 2-to-1 to tie that series at 2-games apiece.
