(Grand Rapids, MI) -- The actions of a Grand Rapids police officer during a traffic stop and subsequent shooting in March, were totally justifiable, according to Kent County Prosecutor Bill Forsyth. Forsyth has been reviewing the case and found that Officer Donald Lake did everything he could, before fatally shooting Gabriel Hood. Testimony from Shaykila Sledge, who was with Hood at the time and believed he was getting ready to fire on the officer, helped Forsyth come to his conclusion. Lake had been on administrative leave since the shooting.
