PORTAGE (WKZO) -- The embattled Portage Board of Education wanted a replacement with some experience and boy did they find one. Kevin Hollenbeck spent 12 years on the board, 6 of them as president. He also served 9 years on the Board of the Michigan Association of School Boards serving as that organization’s president.
He currently works for the Upjohn Institute as an economist. Hollenbeck will serve out the term of Dale Posthumous who resigned last month, the second Portage Board President to resign this school year. He was selected by the trustees from a field of 15 candidates last night.
