CASS COUNTY (WKZO) -- A Cassopolis woman has been sentenced to six years in jail for running what prosecutors say may have been Michigan's biggest meth operation. Fifty-one year-old Debra Cheatham pleaded guilty in February to eleven charges stemming from an investigation that found evidence of a large meth lab at a home she owned in the 64-thousand block of Calvin Center Road in Cass County.
Police say that at least 260 separate meth cooks had taken place there, and that it was the single biggest meth find ever made in the state. Cheatham has previously claimed that there were several others who cooked methamphetamine at that location and that she let them do so in exchange for drugs and gambling money. Last week, she was sentenced to a minimum of 75 months, and given 130 days credit for time already served.
