UNDATED (WSAU) - A lawsuit involving Wisconsin's high school sports governing body and one of the state's largest newspaper groups is scheduled for trial in June. The W-I-A-A sued Gannett over streaming video that was shown on the newspaper's web sites last year during a high school football playoff game.

The W-I-A-A claims it controls all media rights to the state championship tournaments it organizes. The W-I-A-A collects fees from radio and tv broadcasters for the rights to cover those games. The newspaper group claims the games are community news events that often involve taxpayer-funded schools.

The case was originally scheduled for trial in February. Both sides say they need more time to prepare. The case will now be heard June 28, 2010.
