The economy isn’t that much improved, certainly vacation season is over, and demand is lower than it was this summer…so why are some stations pumping at $2.80 a gallon? Gasoline Analyst Patrick DeHaan says its not Michigan’s economy that matters with a national commodity like oil, its reliant upon the nation as a whole. He says they are headed up, but not as far as they went up last year. Gas prices in West Michigan have risen as much as 30 to 40 cents a gallon in just the last few days.
