LAWRENCE -- A 71 year old woman who tried to calm down an unruly patron at the Red Arrow Bar in Lawrence was nearly shot. The 32 year old Hispanic male had been harassing several women at the bar. The woman began to talk to him and touched his arm. That’s when he pulled out a small caliber handgun, asked her what she thought she was doing touching him. Another patron grabbed his arm and the bullet went into the ceiling, instead of the woman. The Hispanic male fled and police have not yet found him, but if they do they plan to charge him with attempted murder.
