LANSING -- Are you getting gouged when you go shopping for Tamiflu? The Attorney General’s office isn’t calling it that yet, but they are hinting you may be paying a lot more than you should have to.
With all that swine flu going around... Tamiflu prices are varying more and more between pharmacies. And that has Attorney General Mike Cox office asking consumers to be on the lookout for the best deal. Attorney Office Spokesperson Nick De Leeuw {1124de-lew) says a sampling of prices in five Michigan communities found significant price variations.
Statewide prices range anywhere from $28 at one Lansing pharmacy to $140 at a pharmacy in Grand Rapids. De Leeuw says investigators are now trying to figure out why the prices are so different. For now, De Leeuw says consumers should shop around before filling their Tamiflu prescriptions.
