UNDATED (WSAU) Fort Hood Police Officer Kimberly Munley is being credited with stopping alleged gunman Major Nidal Malik Hasan's bloody gun rampage yesterday.

Fort Hood Commander Lt. General Bob Cone said Munley was also wounded herself as she shot Hasan four times. CNN reports Munley responded to the shooting spree within about three minutes after it initially occurred. Cone describes Munley's actions as "an aggressive performance" and that she happened to be close to the scene at the time of the shooting.

The man accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood yesterday is now at a hospital on a respirator.  Major Nidal Malik Hasan was shot four times in yesterday's incident.  More than 30 other people were wounded in the attack.  Hasan is described as an Army psychiatrist who didn't want to deploy overseas.
