TORONTO (Reuters) - Vancouver Canucks defenseman Shane O'Brien was suspended for one game by the NHL on Thursday for jabbing New York Rangers forward Sean Avery with his stick.
The incident occurred in Vancouver's 4-1 win over New York on Tuesday when O'Brien made contact with Avery while both players were on their respective benches.
No penalty was called at the time of the incident.
