DETROIT -- An organization that advocates for Muslims in the United States is concerned about retaliation and profiling in aftermath of the attempted bombing of an airplane near Detroit Metro Airport. The Council on American-Islamic Relations reports receiving hate mail since the Christmas Day incident.

Dawud Walid with CAIR says the suspect in the case should be punished, if he is convicted. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is the man accused of trying to blow up the Northwest Airlines flight. He is being held in a federal prison in Milan.
