KALAMAZOO --  Battle Creek Police are looking for the thief who went to some lengths to avoid being identified when he held up the Comerica Bank at 192 E. Columbia shortly after 10:30 yesterday morning.

He came in, flashing a gun, wearing a mask over his face and yellow rubber gloves, the kind used to wash dishes, on his hands.

He grabbed the cash and fled, using a car stolen from a used car lot in Mt. Pleasant five days before the bank job, to make his getaway.   Police later found the stolen car, but the robber was long gone.
