KALAMAZOO --  It was a special holiday treat for a few dozen kids from Kalamazoo. They got a chance to do some Christmas shopping for themselves and their families, and perhaps change a perspective and make a new friend.  It was “Shop with a Cop” night at Meijer on Gull road.

The store donated up to 115-dollars for each child to conduct their own shopping spree, with a Kalamazoo Public Safety officer along to help.

PSO Brandon Reardon says this was his second year, and says its fun and makes a lasting impression.   The store even wrapped the presents so they were ready for under the tree and for some happy surprises on Christmas Morning.
