KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Over 40 participants will be vying for the title of Kalamazoo’s best chili-maker this Saturday.
It’s part of the 12th-annual Kalamazoo Chili Cook-Off.
“The event is completely free, so bring the entire family,” organizer Brandy Gulley said. “Tons of free parking down there.”
Businesses and restaurants will begin dishing out bowls at 11 a.m.
“All the defending champions will be back, plus some, because we had some new restaurants and retail locations open up downtown this year,” Gulley said.
It’s the formal kick-off to Kalamazoo Restaurant Week.
