The latest round of rains showers exits the area and leaves us with great travel or outdoor project weather for the big summer holiday that doesnt feel like its happening in the summer this year. Peaceful and uneventful conditions continue much of the weekend ahead, though we may start to see precipitation chances begin to ramp up again sometime Sunday. National Weather Service forecasters are keeping an eye on a scenario which could emphasize could unfold late Sunday into Monday where a low pressure system tracks eastward through the Upper Great Lakes increasing thunderstorm odds. This is followed Monday by a cold front pushing through our part of the state. From the standpoint of several days out, theyre saying this could be one to watch. Stay tuned. In the meantime think of Independence Day this year as the spring you never had.
