NOAA is focusing on a section of the mid-Mississippi valley around Quincy, Illinois to Keokuk, Iowa for storm development today. For Michigan its been several days of seeing the outlook for summertime downpours being delayed. Not so for growers in Iowa, parts of Wisconsin and Northern into Central Illinois. Though the promised thunder has made it to parts of our state well get a break from the action Tuesday as cooler, drier and more stable air arrives. Only a slim chance for a shower has been left for the second day of the work week. During the second half of the week well be able to enjoy sunny early-July skies and lower humidity levels than weve had in a few days. Good sleeping weather at night with lows in the 50s will be another bonus. Conditions should remain spot on for outdoor fun come Independence Day Friday and through the three-day holiday weekend as things appear now.
