Ag. Weather Outlook 5-14-2014

by Tim Abramowski

Widespread, occasionally heavy rains will be around during the afternoon hours even though the storminess of the past several days is out of the picture. The warm, muggy air is gone for the time being and its being replaced by cooler air cooler, to the tune of about 25 degrees. The next few days of high readings in the fifties may leave some a little concerned with how cold it could get after sundown. No frost or freeze warnings have been posted breezes off the lake will help moderate conditions somewhat and the air temperature shouldnt drop below the mid to upper 30s for Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the pre-dawn hours. This is good news as a flow of cooler air has come under scrutiny for this time period for the past week. Also good news is the fact that its mid-May and the prime frost/freeze danger season should soon be past us. Lets hope.
