KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The annual Doh-Dah parade in Kalamazoo has been canceled, WWMT reported Tuesday.
According to reports, City Manager Jim Ritsema said that the event permit had been revoked due to health concerns in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, the event had been moved from its usual June date to August 15. In order to help with social distancing standards, the parade floats and displays would have been stationary, while attendees would walk up and down the streets to view them.
A statement by the parade organizers has not been made at this time.
