It’s good for the environment, and it’s good for your wallet. Starting today, Target will give customers five cents for each reusable bag they bring to carry their purchases. As the fifth largest retailer in the U.S., this is a significant step, though obviously the U.S. still lags behind many countries which have enacted plastic bag bans.
