Sarah Palin, speaking to the Wisconsin Right To Life group Friday night, doubled-down on her claims of “death panels” lurking in health care reform legislation. She asked the crowd, “What may they feel about an elderly person who doesn’t have a whole lot of productive years left? In order to save government money, government health care has to be rationed… [so] than this elderly person that perhaps could be seen as costing taxpayers to pay for a non-productive life? Do you think our elderly will be first in line for limited health care?” Palin then went home and talked about “death panels” on her Facebook page.
“We’ve got to hold on to hope, and we’ve got to fight hard because Congressional action tonight just put America on a path toward an unrecognizable country."— Sarah Palin, on her Facebook page, upon the passing of the new health bill Saturday night.
