The chaos in Upstate New York’s District 23 election got a little wackier over the weekend, when the Republican candidate State Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race and threw her support behind Democrat, Bill Owens. The race has been a hot-button one after Sarah Palin came out in support of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman while Newt Gingrich called for the GOP to stand behind Scozzafava.  Yes, Newt Gingrich is too liberal for the new Republican Party.
