As the farm bill debate continues - the National Corn Growers Association continues working to promote its priorities for the legislation. NCGA President Garry Niemeyer says the association has some guiding principles for the 2012 Farm Bill. Those principles are to simplify, complement and not compete with crop insurance - which Niemeyer says is NCGA’s top priority - target risks for multiple year price and production decline - better protection against disasters - and quicker payments to farmers.
