The Senate ag committee ended weeks of farm bill hearings with a marathon 4-hour session on crop insurance and farm safety net programs.

Chair Debbie Stabenow says her committee will now move onto the tough task of writing a farm bill…but based on the panel’s final hearing, key questions remain:  how much money will be available…will crop insurance change…will there be a ‘one-size fits all’ safety net program?
