A collective "Waaaaaaaaaaaah" rang across Kalamazoo when CBS News announced the passing of singer, Andy Williams.

The 84 year old singer had been battling cancer for a number of years.

I grew up watching his variety show (mainly to see Donny Osmond).  His Christmas specials with his pretty, French, talentless wife Claudine Longet are seared in my memory. And his songs, from the melancholy "Moon River" to the rousing "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" are the fabric of our lives.
