I know it's been an abandoned eyesore for over a decade, but last night when I drove past the pile of rubble that had once been the best bar EVER - THE RUSH INN- in Mattawan, I shed a tear.

At the risk of sounding like a Toby Keith song, I love this bar.  I have so many memories of the live music ( I love you , Los Bandits!), the dancing, "Slick" the bartender, the softball players, the awesome chicken sandwiches, and especially Santa throwing things down to the kids from the roof on Christmas Eve.

I don't know what the plan is for that plot of land, but it can never be as cool as THE RUSH INN.
