Normally, we would be bundled up with teeth chattering looking forward to the "concept" of Spring arriving tonight (1:16 a.m.). This year, we're shaking our heads and asking, "Spring? But...it's SUMMER!"
Could you believe how everything came to life this weekend? Shoots coming out of the ground, forsythia in full bloom, stands of daffodils everywhere, crocuses, hyacinths, GREEN grass, even flowering trees bursting forth.
Sunburn! What? Sandals and shorts at The St. Patrick's Day Parade. Dining al fresco at O'Duffy's.
This is one for the record books. I'll never forget a Michigan winter where we enjoyed a week's worth of 70's and 80's to usher out the season.
How do you like them apples, snowbirds?
