I am seething.  

How can an organization as revered as The Susan G. Komen Foundation blow their reputation for advocating for women's health by doing something as STUPID as "defunding" mammograms for poor and underinsured women at Planned Parenthood?

It's all a bunch of trumped up political b.s. and I am so sick of politics I could puke.

As a breast cancer survivor, I appreciated the "machine" that Komen was;  raising money and awareness.  I gave money.  I was the honorary chair of last year's race here in Kalamazoo.  Is it too late to take it back?

I think these babes running things got a little drunk with power and are advancing their own agendas.  I know this decision wasn't unanimous within the organization. 

A women's health non-profit undercutting another women's health non-profit...lovely.

This morning I threw away all the Komen stuff in my cubicle in RICHARD'S trash can.  I don't even want it near me.

I'll give my money to the American Cancer Society.

And to Planned Parenthood.  

Keep your laws and your politics off my damn body.
