Boy!  Easter is late this year.  We learned from Joy that Easter is the first Sunday past the first full moon after the first day of Spring.  That makes it April 24.

 Mardi Gras is next Tuesday; FAT TUESDAY.  That's the day to get all the naughtiness out of your system before Ash Wednesday begins at midnight and ushers in Lent.

It drives me KUHRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY when people do Mardi Gras themed events during Lent.  It's a ONE DAY DEAL and then we're supposed to get serious. I heard from Peggy, who is a native of New Orleans and she said it is strictly a "northern" thing when people hijack the Mardi Gras theme inappropriately.

If I see so much as a BEAD, I'm issuing citations this year.  Stop the madness!
