I know Lake Superior State has just come out with their list of banished words and phrases, but may I add one to kick off the new year?  If you are a waiter or waitress, please don't say, "Are you still workin' on that?" while clearing plates?  It makes me feel decidedly unladylike.

Speaking of the banned word list....I FINALLY had a submission make the list!!!!!  I was so excited to see that "MAN UP" made the list this year.  UGHHHHHHHHHH!!! It makes my skin crawl.  As one funster said, "It's bad enough when it's used when addressing a man, but this year it was used toward women! " Ewwwwwww. Stop it.
