There was SUCH a big deal made about our last "blizzard".  Yeah, yeah...a foot of snow.  I would take that over this ice storm any day.  It was a sleepless night listening to ice laden trees crashing in my woods AND on my garage.  I was lucky, though.  I have power, unlike many of my friends.
